Just back from a gig,the singer tripped over my Kemper remote, stuck her high heel on the display glass crazed but not smashed
The screen had black smudge under it.I thought that I could still have access to switching through the scenes nothing completely dead.
I'm in Australia Sydney who would I send for repairs
Display on remote stepped on with heels

Did you buy it from a store? In that case, contact them.
If you bought directly from the kemper website, then you should contact support (link is in my signature)
-
Bummer.
I second @Michael_dk about contacting support ASAP. -
I purchased it through a store in Australia,I'll contact support
-
What's the store, Serge? If I know 'em, I'll "put in a good word" for ya.

Damn, that sounds horrible. I can imagine something similar happening to my LCD too. I wonder if I can get some kind of plexi glass or other hard plastic and just tape it on for protection. -
That should work in theory, AJ, as long as the overlay "rests" well over the outer perimeter of the screen. That'd ensure that it's not possible to push the whole shebang inwards either, thus protecting the motherboard or whatever lies directly beneath it.
Good thinking, man. Serge's issue is a classic "pressed-in LCD" one AFAICT. Seen it many times. The typical "blotch" appears as whatever the darkest-possible colour the LCD can display is. When the two membranes are forced together, this is what manifests.
Back in the day many LCD displays, such as on cheap watches, could be pressed for this effect and then released as they only had thin, flexible plastic covers. The blotches would fade within a few seconds. Serge's friend's heel obviously pressed the membranes together in such a way that they remained in-contact with each other. At least, that's how it sounds to me. The fact that the blotch didn't fade right away suggests that the Kemper's membranes, at least the outer one, are in fact rigid and that they therefore remained in-contact.

This is a shot of the Display, unit is dead

That's exactly the look I described, Serge.
The membranes have obviously been pressed together.

That's horrible. I don't think warranty replacement will cover that, unfortunately. Perhaps it can be repaired though, you should check with mothership. Replacing a screen cannot be all that difficult.

And don't forget to kick your singers ass!

LOL yes my foot is still recovering

yeah I was kinda of hoping that I could still do my switching, unfortunately it took the whole thing out
-
And if it can't be repaired you can still use it to beat up that singer once in a while. Would also help with your recovering foot

Not sure of the process,I've contacted support a couple of days ago still haven't heard back,I've sent them another emai, hopefully they'll get back to me.
In the meantime, has anyone been unlucky enough to have repairs carried out on their remote in Australia ?
If so,could you please share the repairers contact. -

Hey Serge... I'm from Toowoomba so I'm from the same continent...
My RJ45 connector was flawed at delivery requiring replacement. My dealer was Bettermusic in Canberra.
My Power rack was sent to an address (distributor) in Melbourne who carried out a board level repair (replacement).
It was pretty quick....
I'd say start with the dealer...
Rgds...

I know the store, but not the owner, Serge. If you can justify the expense, I s'pose a 2nd (spare) unit can't do any harm.

Interesting, Dale. I know the owner of Better Music and Pro Audio very well. He trusts me implicitly, as do I him, and he's bent over backwards for me many a time. Fantastic guy. You probably know Steve at Better Music 'cause I think he's the main guitar guy. Great bloke too.
Ironically, I know the owner (and his wife) of the distributor you mentioned too! They're just up the road from me.
Unfortunately, @Serge20261, I'm not familiar with the family at Deluxe, but they will have to deal with my mate Steve, the wholesaler, so if you want to PM me, I'm not going anywhere and am more than happy to ask him to keep an eye out for your unit and make sure things are expedited. He has great faith in his "repair" / all-things-Kemper guy there, and Steve is himself no slouch when it comes to electronics, so unless the repair requires a specific shipment of parts from Germany, I'd say there's a very-good chance they'd be able to take care of things for you chop-chop.
