I have a Kemper profiler rack. What would be the best frfr monitor. I tried a JBL prx 812 with a line 6 l2t, they sound great together. Is anyone familiar with the headrush frfr112.

Welcome to the forum! IMO, the best monitor options are dependent on the music genre and venues you play.

Welcome Sir I used powered EV 12's in stereo. Like a Baby FOH.

I tried a frfr monitor type of setup and it didn’t sound natural for me at all. When to a guitar cabinet using the power amp section from it only, and it cured my issues, turning odd the cabinet sim feature. Sounds that way it is supposed to. Example.. fender 65 Deluxe reverb

Hi and welcome to the Kemper Family.
I think it's best to test it in your local music shop and see what suits you best.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new baby, Dave.

Its a very personal choice. The general comments are that the Headrush is good but there are other options that people prefer.
Personally I use the Kabinet and love it. FRFR can be a bit sterile and guitar cabs to me make all profiles sound the same.
The Kabinet hits the right level of compromise.

I get the response that I’m using a kemper. “Why are you using loaded speaker cabinets with a power amp you are defeating the purpose. My response is because an FRFR monitor does not sound natural. it sounds sterile, thin, one dimensional, and plastic. when I use my powered 1x12 quilter cabs with the cab sim off, it sounds like a real amp profile. I get nice clean sparkly tones, and warm lows and the thickness of a real amp and whatever tube sag gain I set. In my mind that is the way profile is supposed to sound. My deluxe reverb sounds like they are supposed to, but with FRFR that exact profile of sounds like a cheap ass lifeless amp. I guess people have different opinions how to use this. All I care about it what is coming out out that speaker. It has to sound clean and balanced and a cab does it for me.

To me the most important thing is what's coming out of the PA at the audience. I get that it feels nice to get whacked in the back with a big dose of your instrument, but it's usually a tradeoff in bands, especially with vocalists. The number of times I've seen a guitarist reduce the whole sound quality of a show because they had to be loud on stage to get their sound. 😎

Hi and welcome! Before the Kone I used the 108 and it worked well. I am not sure but I think I found the 112 a little too boomy for my taste…
