... if you don't touch any of the knobs after applying a LP to your "generic" profile - nothing will change sound wise ... as soon as you touch the LP gain or tonestack the profile will change according to the behaviour of the amp of selected LP (i.e. gain range & tonestack behaviour) ....

Soooo unique

As luntho wrote .... you are listening to the amp without any speaker/cab simulation ... i.e. sound in a tin can just turn the monitor cab on & all's well again ...

Try to copy the OS 10.1.2 file onto a USB stick (a empty USB stick formatted via once connecting to the Profiler) into the "OS Update" folder renaming it as kaos.bin ....

... had similar pick slippage problems as well .... for the last 8 years I'm using V picks - a bit pricy but these pick (I use the Euro II) solved the problems ... from their website & I can confirm this >> Acrylic is the material used in crafting V-PICKS. A proprietary mixture of two different acrylics is used plus an inert material. The manufacturer states that materials and mixtures are chosen to render a strong, long wearing guitar pick that has a gripping quality which reacts to the temperature in the players fingertips.

Have you checked the "Monitor Output" or/and "send Output" > they might be set to "DI Low" or "DI High" ...

.. pairs up perfectly with my Xitone MBritt cab - never sounded any better

Cheers Burkhard - makes sense for the most part ... one more question though ... though I typically do not intend to use the power amp boost with the XiTone (Power Kabinet only) - I can't see the power amp boost option without Kemper Kone selected - is this true or do I miss something ....
-
Hi Burkhard - another question in this context - I have a Power Kabinet & XiTone MBritt cab .... are there plans whereby I could only apply the imprints to the Kabinet (either Monitor out or Aux out) & no imprints (i.e. the cab of the profile) on the "other" side (mon or aux) for the XiTone cab ... and another feature: are there plans to add the power amp boost (incl. power consumption display) for "standard operation" i.e. "Kemper Kone" not ticked ...
... although I love the Kabinet - but have no intentions to sell the XiTone - which I still thinks is the best frfr solution I have tried of the last 8 years with my Kemper ....

Welcome from another UK Kemperian

Definitely try 8.7.6.... apart from lightning-quick slot switching - 8.7. 6 solved a very annoying issue with the Remote occasionally not connecting with the KPA - indeed a reommended firmware update (it might help your issue as well..... )

Classic .... the original windmill ?

But even the Tele and Strat need string trees to compensate for the lack of head angle. The string tress can be as big a problem as the spread of strings on other guitars.
If you use staggered tuners - no need for string trees - I have no string trees on either my Strat or Tele ... it also helps a lot with "behind the nut" string bending
