Would be great to get a Hiwatt tonestack added at some point (and some liquid profiles), definitely great amps, and not just for classic The Who or Pink Floyd tones.

Sat, 16 Dec 2023 11:45:50 +0000 The clips sound like there's a lot of low midrange buildup. Try cutting around 300-500Hz. Usually it's too much 300Hz that sounds the worst.

<![CDATA[Tonejunkie Liquid American profile pack - any way to get in touch with tonejunkie for support ?]]> Tue, 28 Nov 2023 00:48:06 +0000 Did a quick run through many of the Tone Junkie Liquid packs with my effects slot locked and was able to get a lot of good sounds without a whole lot of tweaking on many of them. Some of them I just turned the gain down a little and they sounded nice to my ears with my guitar. Others I had to do a little more tweaking. A few I just didn't like, because I probably just don't like that amp. I've still only had about an hour with these ones, but I think I am going to be happy with them once I get them saved with an effects block I like.

<![CDATA[Suggestion for future liquid packs for profiler creators (raw profiles, tweaked profiles, and performances)]]> Mon, 27 Nov 2023 12:03:40 +0000 I haven't bought a lot of liquid profiles yet, but it would be nice to have some "raw" baseline profiles, some tweaked profiles, and some performances. That's the way Bert's new profile packs are set up. I liked when Michael Britt started including the performances with his packs and I figure he'll do the same in his future liquid packs. It gives a good starting point.

One of my favorite things about the Kemper is how I can find rigs set up to sound good "out of the box". I wasn't having to constantly fiddle with knobs, swap cabs, change mic placement, etc. like I had to do in modelers. That was my #1 preference of a profiler over a modeler. Having the ability to make realistic tweaks with the tone stacks is a great improvement, but it would be nice to still have profiles sounded good "out of the box".

I really like how Bert's new packs have some "raw" baseline profiles, some tweaked profiles, and some performances. This makes it easier to find something I initially like and then slightly tweak it. Hopefully the other profile creators can do something similar to what Bert did in their future liquid profiling packs.

<![CDATA[Lots of Profile Ads - No Liquid Profiles]]> Fri, 24 Nov 2023 00:04:48 +0000 Mbritt sent out a Black Friday Deal email the other day and said once the Tour finishes he is itching to get back to releasing a whole bunch of new profiles - all of which I expect / presume will be Liquid Profiles .... my guess is min-Jan <-> Feb 24.

The other reason is that I suspect that all pack sellers are waiting for more Amp Channels to be added so an increased variety of LP Packs can be produced.

Sat, 18 Nov 2023 11:58:32 +0000 Hallo @tom85221

<![CDATA[I deleted all my profiles I bought in the past except one vendor !]]> Sun, 05 Nov 2023 05:54:59 +0000 I erased em all. I can not stand paid profiles I just make my own. 3 years in an I am always left disappointed going to rig manager or checkin out tasters from vendors. I bought the tone junkie family pack once an can not for the life of me get the hype. Weeks ago I went an hired a matchless DC30 for 100 bucks and made stuff that I felt had the presence an realisim of the real thing. Better off doing that than buying profiles.

Fri, 27 Oct 2023 16:15:59 +0000 I am looking to get as close as I can to a mic'd acoustic sound from an electric, either with source being Piezo or Single Coils and it looks like the Choptones OM28 may be a fantastic candidate.

Has anyone tried it? Their video looks great, but I take that with a grain of salt. It's fairly expensive at $45. Maybe Black Friday would help with that, but still wanted to ask the hive mind. :)

o estoy equivocado

<![CDATA[" Liquid Profile Pack " Sellers ... why are they doing this ..... is it just for more $$ (?)]]> Tue, 24 Oct 2023 04:04:54 +0000 For MV amps, there is also the notion of where is the master set. You could have multiple flavors there since there is no way to capture than in the LP process or settings. Then you get an amp like the BE100 with C45, Saturation, etc., etc. or the Soldano which I think has depth? Some of those amps can get complicated so more profiles are welcome. But, in general, I agree with the OP.

In general, I understand what the OP is getting at. The other factor is being able to get samples going forward. Before, a commercial profiler could give you a couple of snapshots of the amp to entice. Now, you get the LP profile and you'd mostly have the amp. The problem I see despite the more realistic EQ from LPs, profiling is still and art form and craft and people have different methods. I get some profilers where there is too much low end frequency inherent where you can't dial it out without an EQ slot and a lot of teaking. I get some others where there it's inherently thin and nothing beefs it up naturally. And, this is different for live vs recording or playing at home application. In those cases, like with the generic Kemper EQ, if the profiler isn't close to what you want to hear right out of the gate, you're probably not going to get there. It's a bummer and makes me think hard about going back to modeling again. The IR dollar suck that was Fractal became the profile dollar suck that is Kemper. ^^

At the risk of stating the obvious, unless someone has the same pickup, and the same distance from the pickup to the strings, there will be a difference in gain. The pickup can be adjusted, or, much easier, the Gain of the Profile can be adjusted,

Of course, but I have the old Top Jimi profiles and the gain is correct.

I'm using a Thornbucker on a Les Paul. I'm not comparing my sound to EVH, I'm comparing my sound with the old TJ profiles to my sound with the new TJ profiles. The OP's video also sounds like the gain is just a little too low, but well played. The new profiles are also very trebley compared to most other profiles. I suppose what I'm saying is that the new set doesnt seem like an improvement on the old ones.
