Obviously this is a tool mostly for live-gigs using FRFRs.Does anyone use Pure Cabinet for recording;

I don't but I think there are a few guys on here that do. If it sounds good to you when recording then that's fine. There are no right or wrong ways of how to use it
-
many of the pros that were involved with beta testing the Pure Cabinet feature chose to leave it on globally no matter what. If it sounds good it is good.
Trust your ears & don't get caught up in what you're 'supposed' to do.hth

I had a strange experience.
I had it on, turned up to 8. I had recorded a wet and dry signal. I turned Pure Cabinet off and reamped, but the tone was very fizzy, trebley, and not right at all. I had to rerecord it to make it right.
I haven't tried it since, so I will later to make sure it isn't a one off, but is this a known issue?

yes i always have it on for recording, with a setting around 5.

are you sure you weren't monitoring another track in the DAW at the same time when reamping - maybe even an DI?
this could lead to serious comb filtering issues.
did you use the analog DI or the studio level version?are you sure that this isn't simply the way the profile sounds without Pure Cab?
-
Actually it really did sound like a phasing issue. I did isolate the track and listen to it and it was the same.
-
I like to leave Pure Cab on all the time, the only "problem" I found is perhaps the sound isn't as transparent so might make it harder to mix.

I love that feature and use it for recording. Only bummer is, that it's a global option but it would make much more sense to use it for every profiles individualy. But if I remember correctly ck said they are working on it.
