Rig Manager 1.6 has been released

Dear Profiler users,

Rig Manager 1.6 features additional search options, automatic software update for your Profiler and integrated user manuals. The new version is available here:

Testers of the public beta version will receive this version automatically though the new update mechanism. We recommend every user of Rig Manager 1.5 to update, this version does not only contain new functions but also literally dozens of bug fixes and enhancements. It requires Profiler OS4 or higher.

Beta Versions: A glimpse into the future

Rig Manager optionally offers you to use future versions of the Profiler operating system. Those beta versions are work in progress and we do appreciate your input and help when fine tuning our new ideas. In order to receive beta versions, make sure that "Include beta test releases" is ticked in Rig Manager's preference window.

Release versions can be downloaded both through Rig Manager and by navigating to the appropriate section within the Kemper software download portal. Beta versions are exclusively available through Rig Manager. This way, we can inform you once a newer beta version becomes available.

omg and I NEED to get back to the 1.5 version (that even besides the bugs, worked) AS SOONER AS POSSIBLE, and the 1.5 version IS NOT IN THE OFICIAL SITE ANYMORE!!

help me, for god sake, i´m recording my band's new album and need to use the manager!!!

here's a microsoft support document. download the missing windows component, install it and rig manager will work fine.

The windows updater hangs "searching for updates on this computer" can't install it, can't install rig manager

I have the same problem here... I've tried everything I read in here and nothing. I also tried to repair and reinstall the app but it just don't work....

If someone from Kemper read this..... PLEASE, HELP

RM is not absolutely necessary. You can bring rigs in/out using the USB stick. It's slower, but you're not at a standstill ...

Thanks for your comment. But I know I can import rigs with a USB stick. The point is that I really like the RM, and it used to work perfectly. I updated it and now it's crashed. I can't go back to the earlier version because it is not in the download page.

It would be really nice if Kemper fixes it.

I doubt that this is something that the Kemper folks can fix, as it appears to be related to your computer's Windows configuration. I would work it from that angle, and hopefully you will find a resolution. I hope you resolve it. I know that it's often difficult to find the source of a Windows config issue.

You can also try applying updates one at a time so that you can see which one is failing. I did this once and was able to exclude the one that was failing, allowing the others to complete.

This installed OK on my system (Windows 10), but when I ran it I got a firewall message that it doesn't have a proper digital signature ...

Did you ever encounter this error before? Rig Manager.exe itself never had a digital signature, only driver and installer. Could you run it anyway?

I didn't explained myself. I meant It would be really nice if Kemper fixes the download area and let us download the 1.5 version that did work.

And I agree with you... to fix an issue in Windows really sucks...

I had this same problem and after a lot of Google searching found the answer here:

basically you have to stop the update Service first. See image in above forum thread.

then download and install Microsoft update KB3172605
https://www.microsoft.com/en-u…35&WT.mc_id=rss_windows_7

then download and install Visual C++ Redistributable 2015

https://www.smartftp.com/suppo…dll-is-missing-f2702.html

It should then work, hopefully:)
