Eventide added new polysynth sounds to the H90. Seems like the Kemper is 90% there. Do we already have something in the Kemper for editing LFOs and other synthy stuff?

Display MoreI like the Celestion Creamback speakers. Here are the responses.
Creamback 65 75Hz - 5kHz
Creamback 75 70Hz - 5kHz
These are the two speakers I use with my Friedman Twin Sister amp. I am using profiles of a Friedman Dirty Shirley with these. The Twin Sister is a two channel amp that has two Dirty Shirley circuits in it.
That's a good starting point. I found the Celestion and Jensen but am not sure exactly how to interpret the range for Jensen according to their charts.
Celestion Blue Bulldog Alnico 70Hz-5000Hz

I usually look up the frequency response of the speaker that is being used and set the high and low cuts to where the real speaker stops responding.
sounds like a great plan. maybe we should post that info here so everyone doesn't have the go look up those frequencies. would probably get a health debate going.
Should the high cut/low cut be set according to the frequency response of the speaker (for example if using powered kabinet) we chose to use with a particular rig? Or something else?
They gave me info to send it back in for repair and I never did. oospie
Sadly not there. Just tried downgrading and reloading the OS using USB stick and no luck with that either. Well, it is a Beta!
Fixed it--how to downgrade to the latest 9.0 version of the OS and then upgrade to the latest Beta.
(Before tried to fix by I downgrading to earlier version of the beta and then upgrading to latest beta which did not work.)

Here as well. All of them are in unit though. Intended to be so?
Where in unit?
Damn, what a torture. I've sent my stage in for repair to the factory, just this morning! Next Kemper is far away in the rehearsal room and I won't be there until Friday. I'm so curious, please post experiences.
It is pretty simple--click on amp model and apply the liquid profile. Just applying the profile seems to boost clarity to me. Playing with the gain control is super fun. You can dirty up a very clean profile or clean up a dirty one. Easy to dial in gain that way. Or clean up the gain as needed using volume control on your guitar! Increasing/decreasing gain is nice and gradual too.
Tone controls appear to work the same way but honestly have not played with them that much.
I see hours of fun mixing and matching amps--for example I just put a Mars Plex profile on a 59 Tweed Deluxe.
When do we get Tweed Liquid Profiles?
The Fender Twin Rev has a normal and a bright liquid profile--shouldn't that be normal and vibrato?
edit--figured it out--it is bright switch and not bright channel
Woot woot, the 10.0 beta with Liquid Profiles is out!!!
Display MoreWell, the industry's relied on peeps' awareness of:
Whether or not they're connecting an amp to a speaker.
Whether or not a 1/4" jack has 3 metal rings (stereo) or two (mono).
Also, it's a bonus that stereo / balanced and mono / unbalanced are interchangeable in "emergencies".
I am connecting my Stage to a powered Kabinet--a speaker so I use a speaker cable, right? Nope, manual says instrument cable. Fun times.
My day job is the computer world where cables come in different sizes for different purposes--USB vs Audio vs ethernet vs video for example. Would be nice if instrument, speaker, and stereo cables were not all 1/4". Fat chance that gets changed soon. Maybe color coding of the ports and the cable ends?
I have a stage and a powered kabinet. It sounded muddy with the instrument cable and with a speaker cable sounds clear and rich. Bad cable maybe? I suppose I could test that easily enough. I just checked the manual and it shows a speaker cable should be used with an unpowered Kab. Don't see what to use with powered kab.
Oops now I see the problem---I was plugged into the main out on my stage and not the monitor out! I will test with an instrument cable.
update--that was it--needed to use "mon out" and not "main out." amazing what you learn when you read the manual
No need to use a speaker cable for a powered Kabinet, instrument cable is the correct one. Unless you have a Powered Kemper and a Passive Kabinet

Yes, the powered kabinets are awesome--but I can top your silliness! I used a black instrument cable on mine instead of a speaker cable for longer than I care to admit. When I finally popped in a speaker cable it was so much better.
I do have a powered Kab and tested it just now with the Kone switched off. Better with it on
Broadband mode? I really need to read the manual
Can the Power Kabinet be used with other modelers or profilers like Helix, Fractal or Quad Cortex? Just plug it in and it would work in flat response mode?
Well, I solved the problem--I bought a powered Kemper Kone. Wish I had bought it sooner, it's loads of fun.
