Hi , a local user booked a session in our local studio ( Pole Nord ) , what a cool idea !
4 of us managed to grab some amp heads using the facility of the studio
We had the owner miking and setting up the profiling path : mics were SM7B, AKG 414 and another ribbon one.
Cabs were mostly 4x12 V30s and a Marshall greenback one.
AMPS : most users were metal heads ( ENGL , recto, EVH III ) I was the only 'soft one' with a 60's head
Profiles will be shared soon, here is my first batch :
Dakota on G12 - stock : this is the stock 3 mikes profile ( + solid state preamp ) following ones are tweaks based on this one
Dakota on G12 - clean & vibe MOD : clean tweak by me
Dakota on G12 - crunchy MOD : idem
Dakota on G12 - heavy MOD ...
Dakota on G12 - lead MOD
This is my old DAKOTA amp from the 60's ( 4 inputs including an organ one ! 4xEL34 based circuit , very warm & vintage with stock tube , had a recap )
it sounds freaking heavy on the 4x12 with killer sustain, and that amp was also used on a following bass profile ( soon !) on an ampeg CAB.
enjoy !
