I really like the tone, but imo the cab portion lacks some high end. Of course you can compensate for that by turning up presence, which really sounds great. The problem is that when you switch to the monitor outs for playing over a real Poweramp and 4 x 12 without the cab sound: since you considerably turned up the presence in the amp section, suddenly your ears seem to fall off. Perhaps it is the SM59 that makes the cab sound so dark. If you get the chance to profile it again i would love to hear the cab with some other mikes like a condender and a SM57 which perhaps would boost up the high frequencies a little more.

I wish I had this years ago when I tried getting that Dream Theater "Pull me under" roar... back then, the PodXT didn't deliver

<profile is a new amp, rig is a tweaked and FX'ed amp that we already have (like a patch by the modelers)

With the 'steavens' cab or Tills 2 mic 2 (my favourites) its simply great. Best Recto sim Ive ever tried. Im not e recto sim fan with any modeller (although i LOVE the real thing) but this combo rocks for me.

Well, you tweaked the profile the way you liked it, saved & renamed it...it's now a "Rig".
Or maybe you've made a bunch of 'rigs' with the original Profile, for different guitars or 'songs', etc.... just like we used to make Pod XT "Patches".
Some guys just have a way of tweaking/creating great patches/rigs, that's why I like to check them out.
Check out the M.Franzkowiak rigs that came with the Kemper, some clever stuff going on in there, lots to learn.
