And how does it sound?
If you mean as a speaker for your Kemper, then yes, I have one and use it
for very low volume practice. With some fairly aggressive e.q. it sounds
very good.

Thanks, so much Burkhard. I’ve had a 9 yr run with my Kemper and it’s
been the best 9 yrs of my almost 60 yrs of playing. What a great invention!
I wish I could turn back the clock. Hahahahaha
I’m getting to an age where I’m considering selling my Kemper. I’m just not playing much anymore.
What’s the procedure to change registration. ? to enable a new owner to keep it updated.
This is wild. They read my mind. Hahahahaha
Are you using GarageBand ? If so which sim are you plugged into. ?
Btw, the profiles I suggested are free in the rig manager.
There’s also a nice 63 Princeton profile from TAF
Try one of the tweed Pro’s. Either TAF or Top Jimi. It might even surpass The Princeton.
Clean Mic is where I found Narrator. I’ve done a few 8 bar experiments and my profiles
are sounding quite nice. Close enough for me, but Apple really should put a dry line option
in there.
Found this one and it works quite nicely.
Seems my pic is too big. Uffda
So it’s called, Studio Narrator.
Does anyone know if there’s a way to bring up a “blank” line input channel, in iOS. ?
I know how to find it in Mac, but when plugging my Kemper into iOS. all I can find
is mic’s and amps.
I want to go, Kemper to Scarlet 2i2, to iOS GarageBand. without and colour, fx, or anything...just the pure
sound coming from my profiles.
What I’ve done is A/B the headphone sound with my cabinet sound. A bit tedious, back and forth
Adjusting the eq monitor out until it sounds as good or in my case better than my headphones.
I’m with you Bryon. I’m now an at home player. Had my Kemper for about 9 yrs and love it
but I’ve never profiled , never will and only use about 20 profiles.
I’d love a small Kemper stomp or mini with a few profiles and fx.
I don’t want to do this on a puter tho. I prefer a simple little box, like the tech 21 Blonde,
I had grounding issues / noise with the EHX Caliber 22. Exchange had the same problem. EHX from a friend had the same problem.
Don't know if it is the same with the 5MM
Bought the Hotone Loudster instead and use it since months without any problems - no (unwanted ) noise, good quality, very stable.
No noise, very quiet. I’ve been using now for a few days and it sounds great.
I also have a 44 magnum, but it’s too loud for office practice. I find the 44 to be a bit noisy too.
hi ST, I’m on Vancouver Island and bought the 5 mm online from L & M.
Display MoreHi, old crow.
Thanks for the tip.
This guy? Electro Harmonix 5MM
You must be in Canada (too). That explains "For $100. I’m really impressed."
I found them at this US vendor for $63 USD
I thought I’d share this with bedroom practicing people and house jammers.
I bought a Electro-Harmonix 5mm, power amp. It’s rated 2 .5 watts.
I’m driving a n open back 1. X 12 Celestion and am quite sure there’s more than enough power
to use with drums.
For $100. I’m really impressed.
I just noticed last nite, that the headphones are affected by the hi and low cut filters in the output
stage....I would prefer them to not have any cuts or added e.q.
For us old geezers, no longer gigging, or just guys practicing quietly at home.
8” or even 6”. Cabinet or just speaker.
I now use a Bose homelink, with 2 x 2.5” speakers.
I’ve made heavy e.q. Mods to get it sounding right.
you should get plenty of good responses.
I know what you mean about using phones as a reference and I’ve tried everything .
The only thing I’ve not tried is the Kone. I’ll probably do that, as I pretty much stick to
Vintage tweed amps, or vintage combos,
I have tried a 1 x 12” open back cab. With a 12” Celestion. I get one good sound. Sure there’s
some variation between profiles, but a Celestion in a cab is a huge part of any amp sound.
