Pink of the a$$

  • so.. this track has a long story,

Probably the first idea came out in '98-99 or so and Ive never, I don't know why, recorded any demo of it.

It still miss drum and bass.. prolly next week...

Ah, it's the first time I record with the new mockingbird toy.. not bad in the end.

Just added drum n bass tracks to the previous one.. it was not easy cause the starting guitar track was absolutely not IN time but that was necessary.

So just take it as a demo version. nothing more than this. It's not bad but.. nothing seriously well done.

The whole story is more interesting.. I will do another video on it.

    Cheers. Have a nice week!

  • Learning to mix is an art in itself. But mixing also teaches more than just lining up tracks. You learn so much more about tones, technique, and timing. I have only been mixing about 2 years and started to get serious about it a year ago. So glad I got started into it early. So my advice is to start early and get at least semi-serious about it. Keep it up!

Larry Mar @ Lonegun Studios. Neither one famous yet.

  • I admire the fact that you add drums after recording without a click track, it's almost impossible for me.

I takes me so long to align without quantizing, that it's far faster & interesting for me to record my takes again.

    Well done on the arrangement.

  • waraba yes.. it was crazy! At least I'm proud it's just one take.

    As anything else here.

(... well One of many takessss )

But at least one take from begining to end. For drums, I just played keyboard in the end... live, over the song.

BayouTexan of course! Totally agree. As Soon you start as Soon you (start to) learn.

No but, the matter here is totally different.

It's not about "this is my song, I hope You like it, let me know Your toughts"

My wife always wonder why I'm doing " faces".. while I'm playing. Well, I don't know exaclty why, but I guess it's because I feel the whole song in my mind, not just the part I'm playing.

Like acting playing an 'Air Guitar'..but with a real Guitar!

I see it's someting strange from the outside.. it's just a way to show her my different point of view.

So.. another video will come out to summerize the matter ( probably I wiĺl create a playlist abou it).

It's About what You actally play, what others are listening, what You think You're playing/recording, what they actually listening.. a complicated matter.

The song itself is just an example. This one OR another would have been the same.

There's already a video from the couch on my channel..same song but totally diferent feeling.. for You, not for me.

And no, it's not about the gear.

Sorry I will wake up in 4 hours.. see You.

  • so today I finally did the last video.

It's a sort of syntesis of the whole process since the moment you say "fine, I should have to record this" till the the day the final complete version is actually recorded.

I Know, I know, it's not in time.. not even sure if it's right in Tune but..

It's a sort of explaination of the differences between what You play and what You have in Your mind when You're playing.

It's more a Psycho demo than a Song demo Ha! cheers guys . It's been fun!
