With the new liquid profiling & all existing other characteristics, browsing is becoming more & more of a challenge on RM. On the IOS app it is still basically scrolling up and down a list.
I’d love to see Kemper take this to a next level, more contemporary, using tags & logic on tags or such. Especially the app has great potential to quickly find what’s wanted.
Another related request is to cycle through performances more intuitively with the remote, going to the first straight after the last attributed one and same in reverse.
These requests have already been raised earlier, elsewhere on this forum, however seemed good to reiterate them now that liquid profiling is here.

With the new audio over USB functionality recently announced by CK, thought it would be good to post a reminder on this thread, wondering what the possibilities are connecting Rig Manager to KPA using Ethernet in stead of USB. This is still high on my personal wish list.

I’ve heard (Tone Junkie vids maybe) or read some hints that KPA with new audio over USB might serve to re-amp and/or as a soundcard/audio interface for the computer it is attached to. Don’t really understand yet how this should work. Any thoughts?

So suppose we (or at least some of us) would want to make more of different use of the gain and EQ knobs, the question is how. I made a schematic of a profiling process that has been going around in my head for months, wondering if it would be possible to include this in the Kemper. To me it seems like a reasonably straightforward idea, but of course there may be reasons why it wouldn't be doable or why it would not be preferable.
The suggestion is to offer "basic" and "advanced profiling". The basic profiling would be what Kemper currently offers, and the advanced profiling would be based on setting various gain/EQ levels on the original amp and creating a comprehensive profile that takes these various gain and EQ inputs into account. It would perhaps even be possible to create a hybrid advanced profile, where the gain and EQ stages are smartly combined with gain and EQ-features already offered in the current functionality. The schematic is attached as pdf.
Happy to hear your thoughts!

Hi everyone, my point in the thread was not whether Rhett is OK yes or no, just the question if it would be possible to develop the Kemper such that the gain knob (and eq knobs) would become more useful. Like I said, I use them rarely and this was what triggered me in Rhett’s remarks. I leave most of my profiles gainwise as they come and that’s fine, they sound great and I love my Kemper, however isn’t there an opportunity to do more with the gain knob?
Clearly this is my impression and if the far majority of us thinks this is not an issue I’m perfectly fine with it of course.
Thanks for all your comments -
What I recognize in his remarks is that I find myself hardly using the gain knob on the Kemper. To a lesser extent this also goes for the eq knobs.

Hi everyone
Rhett Shull just streamed a 1-hour Q&A on Kemper. In the beginning of the vid he says some interesting things about gain and eq, attached to the front panel knobs. It comes down to the profiling process, I guess. His points sound familiar to me - and my feature request would be to develop a more comprehensive profiling such that the gain and eq knobs can be used the way they are on real amps. Apologies if this has already been discussed before -
Here is the video, with many more interesting topics and observations (mostly positive) on Kemper as it stands today-External Content youtu.beContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. Don’t believe this is possible yet, apologies if I somehow missed it. The idea would be to create wider soundscapes by layering loops left en right rather than only down the middle. Idea is based on a video just posted by John Cordy (thanks John) :

Better rig/performance browsing please, as suggested earlier in this thread. Thanks!

Any updates on when we can welcome this feature?

Hi everyone,
Great news! RM for iPhone has just been released. According to Kempers site it is possible to connect iPhone with a rack unit through LAN & router. Can’t wait to check it out. In my case the ethernet port of the rack is already in use for the remote pedalboard. Should I connect the rack to the LAN (for RM on iPhone) and remote pedalboard simultaneously with an ethernet hub? If not, how otherwise? Can’t seem to find clear instructions but may have overlooked posts here and there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
