If you use multi-standard comp-decomp file manager (in my case total commander) you can open the backup file and access the folders with cabs, stomps, inputs ....etc.

I think the KPA should check the file for corruption. What if somebody modifies his file with a hex editor and then shares it and somebody puts in onto his device without knowing it - bricked
