<![CDATA[Trying to get more breakup from this tone]]> Tue, 12 Dec 2023 21:10:39 +0000 Thanks man, I still feel I'm lacking that chimey "chkk" sound but this might as close as I'm going to get it lol. I will add as well I'm playing with studio monitors (The Yamaha HS8's) so its a got a very flat EQ response so I ain't getting the same as I would out of a guitar cab I think.

These settings gets me in the zone. While I still prefer my roger mayer voodoo vibe, these settings are good enough to fake it.

Thank you!

When he was using The CAE OD100 in the early 2000s, that was my favourite Landau tone.

I have come quite close tot that era with CAE OD-100 profiles from Big Hairy Profiles, especially if I combine them with my Maxon SD-9.

@jon9max your profile sounds almost identical to mine. I'm going to try it on my LP neck in split mode instead of the strat middle. I tried some others on RE with 5 star ratings but I am still not convinced it sounds convincing. ha.

Good luck. It's why I went back to a real acoustic for two songs. One is a fingerpicking kind of classical thing that was hard to play on an electric. I used to use a Fishman Aura Spectrum DI which was another rig that had to be set up, sound checked, different, wireless unit, input, effects...But the Kemper does it way better. One rig, Just another transmitter on the same wireless unit and it sounds better. Just have to be sure to switch the patch (if it has gain/overdrive)before you switch on the Acoustic.

Wed, 18 Oct 2023 23:56:10 +0000 How to reamp to stereo using 2 channels.

Simply add two tracks for your reamped signal (as shown).

4. Reamped Guitar Left (gets Input 1) and pan it Left.

5. Reamped Guitar Right (gets Input 2) and pan it Right.

Add any Kemper stereo effects as desired to your profile.

Follow Steps 3 and 4 above.

I added a Ping-Pong delay as you can see in the wave tails of the reamped left and right tracks.

Importing a DI Track.

You are free to import a DI track into your DAW and reamp it the same way by following Steps 3 and 4 above. This is very useful when re-tracking and remixing old DAW projects as long as you recorded the DI originally. Simply copy and paste the new reamped tracks back into the old project.

<![CDATA[MIDI programme change in Logic]]> Mon, 16 Oct 2023 17:10:22 +0000 BTW, @JaSir84 - I wonder how your Logic project looks like. I also tried to use Logic like you do (single project for all songs) but ultimately it was a lot of work to set up all tempo / time signatures changes (to have metronome clicking correctly) and it was a nightmare when I wanted to do some editing which would change automation / timeline. Eventually I settled on using Gig Performer and I'm very happy with it but I'm curious about your experiences with using Logic.

Wed, 31 May 2023 14:40:19 +0000 There is even more to learn from the above analysis:

  1. There is also an implicit high-cut present at about 21.83kHz; see attached plot frequencyResponse-KPA_CABINET-flat-highCut.png.
  2. The ripples seem to be evenly spaced with a raster of slightly over 86/172Hz. Dividing 22.05kHz by this results in approx. 256/128 support points of the CABINET filter.

Another humble suggestion to the Kemper team: If it is possible to individually define the center frequencies (like for a cascade of IIRs), how about a log(f) spacing? See attached plot filterSupportPoints.png.
