My old Kamico lap steel sounds wonderful thru my power rack. Lindley tones.

Nice work on the pedal and at a glance knowing the setting.

Sounds great! Thank You.

Hey all,
I've been setting up my MIDI gear and in particular getting everything including the DAW clocked from the Kemper's tap tempo. This is all good, but there's something that I'm missing which is the option to quantise the looper controls to the tap tempo.
I saw a thread from the start of last year suggesting that this would be a good idea, but unless I'm being very unobservant it was never implemented. Any chance of this, Kemper team? It'd be fantastic to have the loop start and end points locked to the clock, at least as an option.
Tom
I agree, great point.

Yes, The KPA hood looks wonderful, but unfortunately won't fit my Power Rack.

Welcome to the family, and a great source of support.

I didn’t mean 24 hour time itself is useless. I meant how time is implemented on the Remote is useless for ME. I’m 55, never ever used 24 hour time. So to now have to get used to it just for this one device is a no go.
If Subtraction is a no go for you, then wearing a watch is always an option.

FWIW, I have been repairing amplifiers (Tube and SS) over the past 30 years, and find that most pots, not encoders are usually cleared w/ a small spray of lubricant, such as CRC2-26. Occasionally the pots on a few of my amp repairs require a shot of CRC QD Contact Cleaner or Deoxit as well.
Both of the CRC products work just as well as Deoxit and are plastic safe but at a lower cost. Usually I can buy the CRC products locally at Home Depot, I don't know if they are available elsewhere. Rarely does a pot require a 2nd shot and the usual wiping from Full CW to CCW unless it has been in storage or unused over a long period of time.

Current version for me has been fine.
There is no reason to upgrade but I do it as best practice.
V8, I do the same. No issues w/ the current update.

Let's hope the Tap Light issue is finally resolved.

If you are ONLY going to use those two Performance Slots at a gig, you could do it like this:
1) save the two Performance Slots to the Browse pool.
2) mark each of those two Rigs as a Favorite.3) Set Browse Mode to display Favorites only.
4) If any other Rigs are in the Favorites list, Un-Favorite them.
With only two Favorite Rigs and the Profiler set to only display Favorites, you can connect a single Momentary foot switch, and set it to either Rig Up or Rig down. Either way, pressing the switch will alternate between the two Rigs.
Paults, Thanks for posting this, a great idea!

Occasionally (~10%) I'll use a Dynaco Mark III rather than the Powerack amp when an outdoor venue supports it. Although I do like the tone, the additional gear and load in/out of the Mark III is still a downside.

No issues on the update here as well, and I'm still a student for years. Being nice to people and the ones that support you can work wonders.

The Kemper power cable is a NEMA 5-15P to IEC-60320-C13, and as BayouTexan commented IS a standard, so it's no big deal. Just sell it With the Kemper.
-
To verify, try having a technician / friend, connect an oscilliscope or spectrum analyzer to the Kemper Main Output then Monitor to verify if the 2kHz - 3kHz is present. This eliminates the crossovers, speakers and anything else beyond the Kemper as any issue.

CK worked that out when he designed the KPA!
Yes he did, and hopefully plans to continue the great tech support and development.

Thanks for the info!

BayouTexan, Thanks so much for this detailed tutorial.
I plan to try this over the holidays.

CelticGibson, thanks for the suggestion. I was aware of the rig manager app.
To try and keep it simple w/o adding an iphone into the mix, more work on my part is required to understand what is needed to duplicate the remote's current screen onto a larger screen w/o bringing an iphone into the mix.
It may need to be tapped from the power rack and not the remote. Regardless I'll post any results.

JW from tonejunkie may have received his Kemper cap from the NAMM booth.
