Yeah,
I know, I know. Thanks for your warning.

Indeed. My Problem with iem is often, that I hear too much of my voice via the bone. That makes things muddy and difficult for intonation. Only thing I can do is to increase the level on my iem, or to leave out one bud.
Or also send the space on the Master bus.
I only use it live, key for me is not to use a pick but playing with your nails ans fingertips.
Klotz is good quality, I use Sommer Cables mostly. And Cordial sometimes.
Anyways, I would expect one would be able to compensate for the difference with an eq.
Oh, ok, my bad. Never used it, Just came to my mind.
In a blind test?
No, but you can re-asign the looper, tuner or tap button to act as an effects button. These don’t have LEDs.
Maybe give your pickups a slight angle. Or adjust the srews of the pole pieces, if you habe these in your pickups.
Ah, ok.
BTW, why didn‘t you use the kemper as an interface?
Because I'm cheap, and don't want more boxes on my desk. Originally I tested this to check that a mic I was selling works before mailing it.
YMMV, my chain: sE V7 mic -> alt. input -> loop effect on D slot on the Kemper -> mic pre profile (exchange has Neve, API, Great River profiles) -> spdif out.
So far I've only tried low volume "singing" at home, but sound seems to be clear and nice. Enough for death metal vocs.
Hi,
why are you selling the mic? We have had good results with SE in our band…
Oh man,
that‘s sad news. I wish you all the best! Hopeing you‘ll get well soon!
Interesting,
I have thought of making my own picks from PEEK. Never saw it coloured, btw. Currently I am working on picks from HPL, not as durable but interesting sound-wise.
I think that the latency will make it unplayable
Display Morewow, times have moved on 🤣
I didn’t realise Turbosound were still in business. When I was younger and gigging regularly we would subcontract PA hire with TMS3 based rigs. On gig had 40kw of TMS3.
Those brutes handled 1500w but weighed 195kg each (plus amps)
Roll forward to now and an iP2000 puts out 1000w and weighs30kg (including amps)
Turbosound is now owned by Behringer/Music group. As midas and other pro audio brands are. We have installed some 15“/1.4“ Tops, they sound decent.
Maybe your sound is allready processed (EQd) to better fit the mix?
A lot of low end tends to hide you in the mix. Try to tighten up you tone with a low cut and some extra mids. I Like to give my gain sounds a small push at 1 kHz. Allthough I‘m Not a metal guy, I have to admit.
My cars are cheaper…
Hi,
an ordinary guitar cable should be fine. Don‘t use speaker cables as they are not shielded.
