I love late 70's mixes - they're my favourite, warm and organic. I have a 1978 Blondie track up as my ref track on the mix I'm working on at the moment.
As you say, world class studios and talented people in them is something we don't have living in a small digital box at our feet but we can try.

Listening to some 2010's Blondie mixes, they sound bass heavy and toppy, probably the result of consumers having 50 - 10000 Hz drilled into their brains for the last 30 years which cant be ignored unfortunately.

Anyway, nice track mate, back to my low class studio.

Just catching up with the Per quadruple album- all good stuff mate.
As to John Cipollina, you probably knew this but I didn't.

"To create his distinctive guitar sound, Cipollina developed a one-of-a-kind amplifier stack. His Gibson SG guitars had two pickups, one for bass and one for treble. The bass pickup fed into two Standel bass amps on the bottom of the stack, each equipped with two 15-inch speakers. The treble pickups fed two Fender amps: a Fender Twin Reverb and a Fender Dual Showman that drove six Wurlitzer horns.[3]"

That's commitment to the tone right there.

As usual any tips on the mix gratefully received, cheers.

Amazing amount of tunes and very consistent quality.

Dunno what at your intention is Per and you don't need my advice but I would pick your best 10 and make them into full on tracks.

    Great work.

Sad to hear about Sinead, did a couple of festivals with her.

Some of their stuff is quite off the wall.
Funny thing is, you think it's a bit weird, then listen to a few tracks and it makes perfect sense after which normal everyday tunes sound bland and uninteresting like driving off a winding rural road onto a motorway. I saw them live once and pretty impressive they were too.
    Here's to variety!

    Sounds a bit

    Love that.

Per, your voice is absolutely fine, I hate my own voice too but it does the job just like your does.

I've sang backing vocals for years professionally and I'm OK at that but don't have a lot of character to my lead singer voice with out

real effort. Yours has plenty of character, keep going mate.

    Thanks BayouTexan & spottydog10 !

That’s RB-Bogus Hallow on the left. The track was just a stream of consciousness guitar and vocals recorded simultaneously in one take thing then overdubbed tighter parts and something that was less mumbling and more words, production is bad but maybe there’s something in there.

It's good mate, Bowie-ish with a bit of early 90'sEnglish indie mixed in.
