so TLDR: anyone know (or could make) some IRs with mics only behind the bass cab?
Why:
I heard it was done for old school Studio One style reggae. I also discovered there's a lot more low end punch with mics behind a guitar cab so it makes a lot of sense. I just don't have a bass amp/cab...
Hey I've had this issue for a while now, and it's pretty recording-ruining. There's an intermittent white noise sound that pops up about every 40-41 seconds (as measured in this recording). My setup is Guitar->front panel In on Kemper->SPDIF->a conversion box (SPDIF to optical)->RME Babyface Pro FS. Please let me know if you've heard of this happening before or have any remedies. Thanks!
edit: just changed RME's clock source setting from Internal to Optical In. maybe that was it?
In this clip, it happens at around 7 seconds, 48 seconds, 1:29

I think his feedback is relevant to improvements on a new version of Kemper. And if you watch the section at 1:33, you'll see that he addresses that concern.
It still sounds really good. imo, the effects sound better on Kemper. He mentions they're similar, the Kemper is "woolier" in the low mids and the QC has a certain sponginess in dynamics.

Sure there's a bit of room for slight improvements but what I'd like to see from CK/Kemper/Virus--and I'd understand if there isn't as much interest in a guitar forum-- is a Kemper of synths: digital modular where you can profile each module. It's all patched digitally, like a Kemper take on VCV rack
Do I understand you correctly : the kemper works fine with the Konig converters?
Background: I am planning to buy the RME BABYFACE pro fs and I like to use THE SPDIF out of the Kemper. But the Digital Input of the Babyface is different.
So, please let me know, which cable and adaptor / converter I need to have.
Mine works now with previously purchased converters from Amazon. The key was to use digital coaxial cable, not the one that came with the converter.
