What steps are being taken to keep the scammer from spamming the forum?

I was just about to post something similar. It's crazy how much these spammers have infiltrated this forum...

Since we all treat this forum and each other respectfully I deem it appropriate to refer to these scavengers as sorry excuses for human beings and call them a whole stack of Mutherfuckers. I hope you understand.

I’m sure Support is doing what they can. Security issues like this are reactionary. It’s not a problem until it is.

As members - We’re not helpless. Replying to them is pointless. If it’s not a bot, that person isn’t coming back. Why would they?

When you see one of these douchwaffle-bot posts:

Click the three dots at the upper right of the post and click report. If someone already has, it’ll tell you.

You can also go to the user’s page and report the user.

MF'ers are everywhere...that's for sure. The password protected side hasn't taken a hit. It seems Kemper will have to change how new accounts are created.

There is nothing Kemper can do until the spam is made. Otherwise you risk banning a potential legit Kemper owner. Best thing to do is just report the spam message immediately.

There is a lot of anti spam solutions für a tiny price you can buy and install for this board.

I reported all of the ones I saw yesterday. I found several just now that had not been reported yet and reported those. I use the triangle icon at the bottom of the post to report it. They will get to them. It may take them a little bit to get rid of them but they will get them. Someone has definitely unleashed the attack on this forum. This is the most I have seen come in since I have been on here.

No, don't worry, due technical issues the posts were moved to my account, so I can delete them. The forum software got an hickup during removing the spam.

This is really getting out of control....

Edit: at least they should adapt their offering to the needs of this forum.....Lemon oil, Talent booster pills, anti-GAS creme, shredding essence....

Yep, seeing as most Kemper owners can't be bothered to lift real amps anymore, they've already got fat butts so don't need pills or creme for that

That would be cult recruiting rather than general spam.

The spam is out of control. 3 pages of crap just this morning. Surely some filtering could help with this...

And again.....it's unbearable.

They could put a block on threads that have numbers in the title, or a dual verification on new accounts. Most of the stuff is South Africa related

So far their approach is as expected, reactive only. Other boards make creating an account the checkpoint for spammers, and I am surprised as this forum was originally using restrictions to only allow access to real owners. Maybe spammers all buy Kempers???
