What is "Source" when I'm trying to upload a photo?

Been sharing images for 7 years just by inserting the Photobucket link into the Image box, now I see a second box saying "Source"...excuse my ignorance but what's that?

Photobucket is not needed anymore for this forum. You can use tbe “paperclip” icon to post a photo directly from your computer/phone.

One clarification - the paperclip icon is visible on an iPhone. Use "Attachments" to upload a picture.
