Ambitious Ambiguity - some (to me) new chord voicings inspired by Mike Landau

  • I was listening to a few guitar clips on YouTube and saw some interesting chord voicings I wanted to get into a tune and then the same evening I was listening to old tunes never finished and found the drums and the bass line in a project from 2020. So I transposed the original tune to fit the new guitar ideas and rerecorded the bass to fit the new chords changes and took it from there.

The guitar was a James Tyler Guitars Studio Elite.

There are just two synth tracks here so many of the "odd" sounds you hear starting at 3:26 are actually guitars heavily treated with FX.

    Hope you'll like it!

  • Perfect for Halloween season! Really nice guitar tones on the intro. I don't think the effects are needed. The guitar stands on it's on.

Larry Mar @ Lonegun Studios. Neither one famous yet.

  • Definitely one of my fav tracks that you have done, guitar has plenty of vibe and mojo going on

New talent management advice to Laura Cox -

“Laura want to break the internet? let’s shoot another video of you covering the Nightrain solo in the blue singlet, but this time we’ll crank up the air conditioning”.

  • Fun track with a lot of interesting guitar sounds Mats_Nermark got a little surf vibe going on from the lead tone.

    Thanks, Per!

It's amazing how different we experience sound. I would never have associated of this lead tone as "surf".
