We have just published PROFILER Operating System 10.2.0! It includes the following improvements:

    Audio

    changed: improvement of BrightCap Intensity

    Communication

    improved: various USB communication improvements

    User Interface

    added: USB MIDI

    added: Low/High Cut for Cabinet

    Documentation

All main manuals in English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish are current.

A new Italian main manual has been added.

Rig Manager 3.4.51 for Windows(R)/macOS(R) and Rig Manager 1.5.1 for iOS(R) required!

    Rig Manager 3.4.51 requires at least Windows(R) 10 or macOS(R) 10.14.

All PROFILER Stage units can generally be upgraded in one step.

All other PROFILER models running OS 7.3 and higher can be upgraded in one step, too. Check the OS version currently installed on the last page of System Settings.

PROFILER Head, Rack, PowerHead and PowerRack models running OS versions before 7.3 need to be upgraded in two steps. First install OS 7.3, then upgrade to OS 8.5. If you need to do this, you can find OS 7.3 on the download page under “Older Software Versions”.

WARNING: Downgrade beyond OS 9.0.6 could lead to loss of data stored with OS 10!

Files with the old extension ".kipr" can still be imported, except if the files as such are corrupted.

However, you need to know what those are. .kipr coud be Rigs or could be presets and neet to be imported into their corresponding domains All Rigs or All Presets.

The RIg Buttons 1-5 indicate existing Morphing since the beginning and still do.

If you load a Rig with Morphing the lower LEDs is bright (base sound) and the upper LED is halb bright (morph sound). If you initiate Morphing, the brightness of these two LEDs reflects the shift between base sound and morph sound.

If there is nothing to be morphed in a Rig, the upper LED stays dark. If you now switch to Morph state, the upper LED will be lit immediately to indicate, that the Rig is ready to set up parameters for Morphing.

"Duplicate" is only available as long as you havn't edited the original Rig. At the same time the "Replace Rig" button is greyed out since replacing a Rig without changes is meaningless.

As soon as you edit the Rig e.g. increase its Gain, the edited state deviates from the original state. And if you store the edited state, it's no "duplication" in its true sens anymore. Therefor the label of the button changes to "Store As New". This creates another Rig, but this Rig has a higher Gain than the original. At the same time the "Replace Rig" button gets functional, in case you intend to overwrite the original Rig with the version with higher Gain.

I guess, it's all there and makes logical sense.

Hinweise dazu gibt in Das Große Handbuch.

We are confident, that the PROFILER doesn't switch off the effects section, just because of receiving program changes, regardless of order and frequency.

Sometimes such software is sending commands to reset devices like for instance pedal controllers of a keyboard. This could be the case in your scenario.

And we cannot outrule, that we are using these commands for other purposes. There is for example a NRPN controller for disabling the effects setion.

You could check, if there any options in Ableton to suppress such automatic device resets.

Could you connect a PC with a MIDI USB interface, plugged into the MIDI THRU of the PROFILER and monitor via a freeware like MIDI OX, what the PROFIELR is really receiving?

Please load that Performance freshly after a restart. Otherwise you are stuck with always the same edit buffer, which gets never refreshed.

Please demonstrate the issue in factory default state. Perform the Factory Reset, restart, switch into Performance Mode, load another of our Performance examples e.g. Performance 4 and demonstrate that issue in a video. Please show in that video all steps from te restart.

You should check those Rigs and compare against others and see if you can ring fence the issue to those. However, this conclusion seems a bit too simple to me after such long search. And you don't seem to have issues on headphones plugged into the PROFILER.

I'm more thinking along the lines of a signal with high volume accidentally fed from PROFILER line level outputs into a microphone preamp of your interface and perhaps through another guitar amplifier simulation in Cubase, which makes the resulting signal so hot, that you experience radio effects and interferences with your (hot?) guitar pickups as a result. I would check those levels first and eliminate any unintended signal boosts post the PROFILER. And then I would use a long guitar cable and take the guitar to another room increasing distance from the interface and PC to see what happens.

I looked at that video and there is another issue: The first time you load Slot 2 the display reflects Slot 2 but soundwise Slot 3 seems to stick. I see low gain at the LED collar of the knob but hear high gain. I think, this whole Performance is obscure.

Since this is Performance 1, have you more than one Performance?

Could it be, that you never switch Performances but just stick to the first Performance that "survives" the restart of the PROFILER. Perhaps it's a data problem and never heals since you never reloaded that Performance from memory. Or it's currupted anyhow.

Have you tried another? Have you tried one of the pre-installed example Performances?

I suggest to perform a complete reset to factory default. You find that function in System Settings of current OS versions. Hold the button Factory Reset for a while and then follow onscreen instructions. You should create a PROFILER backup on USB flash drive upfront. What about the switching when you use the pre-installed Performances?
