DI-boxes suitable to create Direct Amplifier Profiles

Palmer PAN 02 worked great for me. Mostly because I had it laying around.
I currently only profiled my 15w laney. But even that little Amp just to much for my home
I'll give it a second try in our rehearsal room.

Yup, i could profile my Jet 20 Watter at home. No way i can profile my plexi here. I have returned the Samson and kept the Behringer.
The results are almost sensational! At least compared to my miked profiles.
{there is a pack downloadable in free rigs, if you are interested ...} -
I've been using the Behringer Ultra GI100. Had some issues, but received some direction from a fellow member and got it sorted out. I ran phantom power from a mixer and refined twice. Made a noticeable difference.

As much as I DO NOT need the actual Kemper DI, I will most likely buy it for matching gear. I am an idiot that. way. Splawn Amps w/Splawn Cabs, Fryette Amp w/Fryette Cab (when I still owned it). I have this thing with my gear matching whenever possible.
I have the Behringer Ultra G which supposedly works great with the Kemper. Haven't tried it yet.

You, my friend, are in deep shit if Kemper starts selling Special Limited Edition Collector's Series units, with matching carry bag, personalized coffee cups and Tee-shirts.

You ain't kidding!!! LOL! I am looking at getting a custom cab built like this:[Blocked Image: https://reverb-res.cloudinary.com/image/upload/a_exif,c_limit,f_auto,fl_progressive,h_620,q_75,w_620/v1430702045/e9lpu7qmxp2b4cwe9olq.jpg]
but with dark green tolex, charcoal gray GT stripes and white piping. The GT Stripes would be off to the left (facing the cab) side. This way my Kemper and cab are matched color wise...

Sweet. Just make sure everything fits in your new Ford:

No worries....It has a tow hitch for the matching trailer which is of COURSE air conditioned for the female roadies...

Hi guys!
I already own a Radial JDI Duplex (passive), a Radial J48 (active) and a Radial Reamp JCR box (passive). I also own an A Designs ATTY, which is a passive line attenuator. Would a combination of these work to make a Direct Profile of my amps? Would the Radial Reamp JCR box be enough since it has a level knob? Or do a I need to get yet another DI box (as recommended in the first post of this thread)?
Thanks!
-
I think the Radial J48 shoud be fine since it can operate as a standard active DI box. Just put it between your amp and cab and use the DI out for profiling. I would not recommend using any other load resistor or attenuator since this will change the sound.

Thanks!

When creating Direct Amp Profiles, can I definitely use my Radial J48 DI between my JCM-1/Marshall 9100 (2 X 50W) and my speaker cab? It only has -15dB pad.

Maybe start with a low power amp volume and slowly raise the volume and check it out. Or simply get a Behringer GI-100. It´s very affordable and definitely can handle the power amp.

I caved in and bought the Kemper DI box. That way I'm not guessing or risking anything.

I use a Radial JDI single with a Hosa line attenuator to drop the signal...works perfectly with no signal errors.
I'm jealous as you will have a matched set.
