I ran a stereo rig into 2 tracks and ran the direct out into a compressor to preamp into a 3rd mono track.
A Wet-Dry-Wet robust sound developed. It sounds like slapping but it's all fingers.

Here's a couple that I used a Rode Stereo mic about 1 foot away from the 12th fret and the Piezo into the Kemper with stereo FX.
Most of the blend is the Kemper.

Thanks Guys, I tried a Wet Dry Wet Bass recording with a stereo rig and running direct out to a compressor into a separate bass preamp.
It required 3 tracks to get the blend. It sounds like thumb playing but it's fingers.
