Nothing super gainy or edgy, but more smooth and silky (some had a fuzz effect added) I will share these soon as I get a moment, and once I get clearance that Im allowed to do so. (free of course)..

Nice! Looking for something to get me away from using plug-ins for my bass sounds and reduce CPU usage when recording. I LOVE my Studio Devil Bass Pro plug in, but am looking forward to seeing what the bass profiles can bring to the table.

Your welcome, but please, don't put too much faith in them as they really might not wok for you. they were all totally custom made for a Fender Mustang Bass and that amp, then tailed to each track (and variations of each track). If you want to get close to the sound we had, then put your clean/dist sensi on - 7 as the Mustang was clipping input on 0.
We then tracked, and then small edits made in post to work with the tracks.
But I'd be intersted to know what y'all think anyway.

That makes sense. I found them to be on average a little bright for my bass but now I have to try with your recommendation. I did find cool tones, though! One in particular that had some good mojo for me. Again, much appreciated!
I still have the Amp here.. so soon as get time , I'll redo them for everyone (but not so tailed)

I agree @nightlight I have a few which I use a lot in the studio, but it would be great to have a excellent bass player provide us with some awesome profiles. Eg Billy Sheehan, Nathan East etc

The old Fender tweed, blackface, and some silverface Bassman amps were also great sounding guitar amps. That's why you see the amp used for both instruments.
Ive used guitar amp / cab combos for bass as a last resort and if you want a nice tight high mid they aren't too bad. However, the frequency response on speakers with 6/8 or even 10" paper just doesn't produce a low enough bark. But yeah, the inverse is true, there are some good bass amps that can produce some good tone with 6 string guitars.

I really like the Michael Wagener bass rigs, especially the ampeg profiles, with my Fender p bass.
My other choice would be Andy's bass man profiles, usually the Fan BM Bass5 or 6.
