Adding a Strymon Cloudburst pedal to my profiler leads me to nowhere.

  • I have this brandnew pedal for using with my profiler. I've been working for hours to get this pedal working, but all in vain. There's no sound whatsoever. Would someone be so kind to help me and explain which routings I need for getting sound ?

BTW: the output of my guitar goes to the input of the pedal. The output of the pedal goes to the return input at the back of the profiler.

At the front I used the X slot which is set to Loop mono (while the pedal is true stereo).

All I hear is a lot of loud creaking noise and very loud.

Strymon | CLOUDBURST | Ambient Reverb w/ Ensemble
Redefining the reverb pedal once again, the Strymon Cloudburst is an ambient reverb like no other. A transformative space-box with unique a celestial string…

  • guitar > Kemper input > Kemper send > cloudburst > Kemper return.

Side note: nothing in Cloudburst can't be be done by the reverb in the Kemper

If something is too complicated, then you need to learn it better

  • guitar > Kemper input > Kemper send > cloudburst > Kemper return.

Side note: nothing in Cloudburst can't be be done by the reverb in the Kemper

This is a puzzle to me. Do you mean this?

    1. guitar to input Kemper

    2. at the back of the Kemper send to input Cloudburst

    3. output cloudburst to Kemper return

But this leaves me no Monitor Out and Direct Out, normally needed for my two QSC powered speakers!

  • you cannot use an FX loop and the monitor stereo option on a Profiler Rack or Head at the same time. In that scenario, you have to connect the speakers to the main outputs. The send on the Profiler is the direct out not the monitor out.

  • Hey theplayer

  • Or maybe this which is a little bit shorter:

By the way, you are using a Kemper Head / Rack or a Stage?

  • At first, thank you all for your repleies...! Much appreciated!

I have a powerd Head. And I've down everything as in the video. I do have sound now, but the fx is far from what I have heard on the internet and in videos

  • also make sure to set the strymon to deliver a stereo signal and make sure that the mix is set to fully wet on the strymon and then control the actual dry/wet balance with the mix parameter in the FX loop of the Profiler

  • you must be doing something fundamentally wrong in that case. As Kellerblues already stated the Strymon offers nothing that the Profiler could not do already so maybe you should consider returning the Strymon for a refund instead of wasting your time trying to figure out how to integrate it into your signal flow.

  • Maybe you give it a last try

    Good luck.
