As above - I like a compressed Twin Reverb with the bass shelved.

But the original Kemper footswitch does not work, right?
That is very strange.. They just could have added that LAN-port somewhere...
Strongly disagree. That's a major design mod for a fringe use case.
If you need the big heavy remote you might as well use a full Kemper profiler unit.

Is a Klon trash because it doesn't have a display?
-
Just because something doesn't suit you doesn't mean it's useless to everybody. I think they've nailed it with the Player, but you don't have to buy one.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if they release a similar format pedal with the whole range of distortions and fuzz.

I m not sure about this. it looks like just 2 pre amp fx and 2 post amp fx slot
what if I have created in my studio my own profile with 3 or 4 fx pre and 3 or 4 fx post amp/cab ?
If you need the extra everything then the Stage, Rack or Head are the tools.
You could put 2 of these on a pedalboard and get more effects, dual amps at once, redundancy in case one ever fails. I'm thinking that could be my new normal, with the Power Head just doing home studio duty.

Yay!!!!! Looks great guys!!

I've bought and checked out many Gilmour profiles and none seem to get me that squeaky/glassy (in a good way) sound like the solo in WYWH. I can get close though.

That sounds great. If anything, I'd say an even lighter touch with your picking hand.
Listening to the original again, I think he has the tone slightly backed off on the Strat.
-
My point about volume wasn't about gain or master volumes BTW - more about the actual volume in the room (or stadium in his case). I think it's the sound from the speakers exciting the strings, like feedback but less.

It sounds more like a Vox than a Fender to me, but that could be confirmation bias.

5) ... and just enough compression
-
I had a closer listen to the video linked above and a few observations:
1) His guitar doesn't have much gain
2) There's a piano almost doubling his part for the whole song except the first few chords
3) It's stadium level loud, which helps give it some extra "body" as the strings interact with the speakers
4) He sounds like he's covering Tracey Chapman with this song and I can't unhear that now. 🙂

Left field here, but try turning up the volume and playing with a lighter touch to "coax" the notes out and get them to sing a bit if you dig in even a little bit.

i had 2 kemper kabinets, i returned 1. it did not sound any fuller or louder, actually it was the opposite & 1 sounded great. so i use 1
Were you running them as a L R pair with stereo effects? When I do the difference is really noticeable.
As mentioned, you wouldn't run stereo in a bar or odd shaped venue, but where people are there to see a show I prefer to have some stereo effects. I know it won't sound the same to people on the left and right, but that's the point.
-
I'd check them out with headphones before deciding. If it's really what you're after I would consider a powered Kab.
-
I run mine into the front and it seems to work about the same as having it in front of a traditional amp.
I use mostly the Kemper Drive, but I have a couple of lead sounds (not metal) that use a Bogner Ubershall pedal with the neck pickup.
-
I really like the Kemper Drive and Kemper Fuzz effects and use them on a bunch of songs. There does seem to be "something" more present and in your face when I run my dirt pedals in front of the Kemper, so I have one on my small pedalboard.

I don't think you can do it in a way that makes financial sense for what you'll get. The looper is a fun practice tool and great for tweaking your sound, but for any pro application I highly recommend even the least expensive dedicated looper (Boss for me).

The Rotary effect sounds great in stereo too. 🙂
