Hello everyone, there is no one who has made a collection of profiles of this head?
(I do not like the amp factory)
Any MESA STILETTO around here? (ACE-DEUCE)

I bought the Stiletto from the amp factory a long time ago. I think it's an excellent repersentation of that amp. It's got a killer clean sound too. Just my opinion I'm not sure if anyone else has profiled it yet
-
I can also recommend The Amp Factory Stiletto profiles. There's a great selection of cleans, crunch and hi-gain. In the package you also get profiles specifically for Strat, Tele and LP.

I don't like TAF Stiletto...

+1 !
I would like to know if someone here owns one (preferably the Stage II version) and if this is possible to release a pack with complete settings (in any mode, and with any gain settings) but most of all : A GREAT MIC PLACEMENT ! (i know it's highly subjective but still, TAF profiles are nice but mic placement is sounding too dark to my ears, not enough bright and punchy-mids are missing IMHO)
Or maybe someone that could make custom profiles and could rent one from somebody or a music store ?
Thanks a lot !

The first "signature sound" that comes to mind along with this amp, but miking-wise is the Andy Timmons tone on the Resolution album.
In an interview he says that they tried various mic combinations in the studio but the best sounding one was the one he recorded all the album with. (ie. two SM 57 in front of a 2x12")
I dont really know the mic placement they used but i think maybe one looking for a brighter high-mid focused frequency response and the other one for tighter lows. (at least, this is how it sounds to me)

I really like the TAF Stiletto

Me too but not the "Cab section" unfortunately.

Have you tried Tills Recto Cabs with the Stiletto ?
Theyre around for a couple of years at this stage but still sound pretty cool !
-
Gotta give it a try, great idea !
But still, FW 3.0 profiles would be great as well !
-
I can send Tills cabs onto you if you want Smart Shred....Im pretty sure they're the free ones
