New small Matrix poweramp GM50, maybe good for Kemper users?!

This could be cool!

It's kind of odd when a company markets their products "aimed" specifically at one particular unit and NEVER mentions the name of any other unit except the ONE name...it gets tiresome after a while.

It's best they start demoing their poweramps with the KPA and other modellers, and quit the fanboy attitude.

The GM50 won't fit into the back of a Kemper.

This is indeed a bit odd because their buyers have all different kinds of modellers.
Secondly it is a pity the module does not fit in the back of the KPA.
Well maybe they are working on it. Only time will tell......

For me it still is a great company with great blokes making great amplifiers.

They've heard the Kemper! Think they even saw one at Namm!

I'll agree the post on Facebook came accross as a bit "fanboi" but I think it's because it was originally posted on the Fractal site and then copied and pasted to Facebook.

I presume the AxeII is the best modeller.

The KPA, being a profiler, doesn't qualify as a modeller.

Well guys I can tell you that IMHO the Kemper + GT800 FX + TT CAB loaded with EVM12l is a fantastic combinaison ("cab bypass" set as a cab on the KPA)
Had my first reversal last WE with this configuration and WHAOUUU!!!
So if Matrix could do an Amp that fit in the back of my KPA I will buy it.

The existing one would fit on the back of your TT Cab....just saying...

I have been thinking about getting GT800fx, it seems like a winner.
It will be interesting to see what else will be announced.
This new amp Matritx seems cool but I will have to see what the form factor is.
I wonder if Kemper has anything in the works?

Yesterday I had a chance to test in my studio Italian guitar tube head DV Mark Little 40 L34 and I was very impressed when connected my KPA to return input in loop section (using it's power amp section with two EL34s)...Cause it's 40 watts amp with nice CPC circuit (scalling power down to 1 watt with dedicated pot) i pushed easy the power tubes a little...Really juicy,singing sound ala Guthrie Govan on his Cornford MK50H (which I used to use).I'm keen on to buy this little,handy amp (7kg) and use it as power amp with my KPA..or if any problems should occur with my digital lunch box (I'm sure will not ) I could always go ahead with my gig using DV Mark as a regular amp

I own the GT800FX and can't recommend it enough, it's a seriously cool bit of kit. I've used it with my AxeFX II and more recently my KPA, it's so much better than other power amps I've tried and it weighs so little. I ran KPA into it and then into a old-school JCM800 4x12, loved every minute, chunky and tight, rock and roll! KPA works really well either FRFR or through a real guitar cab in a band scenario.
