I thought I'd chuck this early sample of a current project here...I'm really liking how the guitars are coming out!
"Space"... a not-so-serious work in progress from my old (defunct) band from Adelaide, Australia - Sir Gerbil.
This Muppet-Metal Classic goes back to about 1996? and was written shortly before I came aboard by the original lineup. Two of us have been working on capturing a bit of the early vibe of the band, programming beats/synth and bass guitar tracks as well as some vocal tracks to come, to which I am merely adding guitars. The goal is to end up with an album of unrecorded/unreleased tracks from our respective humble home setups. My bits have been recorded along to a stereo preliminary mix of the backing. This is what it sounds like so far....

All guitars- KPA ----> Presonus interface via XLR
Left Rhythm - Based On rig "Till's Recto" which is a stock preset by Till, who makes a lot of my favourites! Guitar is a Sparrow Rat Rod Ace (LP style with bigsby, Kent Armstrong Pups and some nice hot-rod pinstriping.
Right Rhythm - Based on rig "5153C" By Author "FRAENGGERS" With Harley Benton V30 Cab, Gibson 2002 R8 Authentic Les Paul.
Intro Clean Main - Based on rig "Till's Recto Clean 3" with a stock (I believe..) late 70's Ibanez Silver series Strat copy
Intro Clean low mix - Based on Kemper stock AC Top Boost preset (Voice Ace Thirty, Mid gain, Alnico Blue, R121 off Axis) With the Ibanez Strat, mixed in @10dB lower than the main clean to give some grit.
Middle Channel (Early song) - Stereo Preset using my own 1987X profile with some chorus crossed over at ~1500Khz and an EVH style Phaser stomp. Medium Gain, Sparrow LP
Short lead part/Middle Channel thickener from mid-song - Based again on "Till's Recto" With the Sparrow LP and R8....Has some Eventide UltraChannel plugin for nice stereo shimmer
Thanks for checking it out, hope you like it, or it at least gives you a nostalgic chuckle. Big thumbs up to everyone sharing so many quality profiles!
