I figure I would want a wider spacing of the switches than a bigger button. Maybe install in an alternating pattern so one is higher than the other?? Like use your foot for the high one and your toe for the low one. Just guessing here.

My gigging days were far behind me long before I ever got my Kemper but I feel your pain. Most days I play in bare feet or only wearing socks and it works OK but I wear a size 12/13 shoe. I have often pondered how I would ever use the remote in a live situation. The bottom row of buttons works alright but changing stomps would be a struggle. If I start to play with shoes on they immediate come off. I guess I would have to play barefoot.
I have small feet (8 UK) But also have to waer slim shoes
I actually wear something similar but not that pointy of a toe. Boots get pretty heavy after wearing for a few hours and when you get home you are very happy to pull them off. Girls love men who wear boots.

I've tried slimmer shoes, thinner soles, doesn't make much difference sadly.

Ahhhh ... didn't know you could get different sizes ... that could be worth a try, cheers.
I've also had some tap dancing fails, mostly depends on the lighting on stage for me.
I've been thinking of making a 4 button switch that gives me the basics and is smaller and much lighter than the remote. I have to catch a ferry out to an island for some gigs and that means carrying the whole lot at times.

Big buttons make the spacing between even smaller, making the OP's problem worse & more likely to clip the neighboring button. (tried them) I like the overall small footprint of the board, it's one of the things that made me want one. Since I sing a lot, I don't want to have to do the splits to make changes, it looks silly. I just have to be accurate and aware, no different than when I used stomps with the same buttons. One suggestion might be tipping it up a bit, sometimes that helps with the reach overs.

And I agree, bigger buttons create less of a gap. May take my front ones off and keep the back row on ?
If you're hitting buttons next to the one you're aiming for you need more room between them not less. You're not having a problem hitting the buttons so making them bigger won't help. I tried 2 different sets of big buttons and they came right off when I kept hitting the one next to it . Some of my favorite type of switches were on the original GCX (and some digitech too) wide and low profile, you could tap or brush your foot across it and trigger it, real short throw. Problem is, many of them had these teeny tiny switches that were prone to go bad, but you could get them and replace them fairly easy.
I don't have big feet (size 10 US) But I struggled big-time. I was hitting 2 buttons or the wrong one. I have the toppers, which helped a little. I put larger rubber feet on the back/top of the remote to make it more of an angle, That helped a little too. But I don't like to "tip-toe" and try to use just the tip of my foot during a show, During a song it's usually a morph I'm looking for, and usually, that's for a boost and some changes for a solo. So it's kind of crucial that it gets done right. I have 2 FS-5U's I use, both for morphing. By using the polarity switch on those fs5u's they can do different things. One is set so however you press, it morphs, just like they are on the remote. Set the other way, it only activates when you lift your foot. I use this a lot. You press down and hold your foot on it nothing happens until you lift your foot, great for specific timing things and not having to look down, so you don't have to lift your foot up, press the button then lift your foot off. I don't shoegaze, and try to be looking up as much as I can. I use "rigs" as songs so most of the time I just use the "Bank up" button on the remote and the bottom row just for 5 different songs per "performance" So for morphing/soloing I just have to hit the big button on the boss switch. My other huge issue is that the screen is so small I can hardly see the "rigs" (layout A) I really want them to make something like layout C but for "rigs"
