My favourite is the Darkglass B7K in the RE I dial the gain down a bit. Awesome profile

That's the bass guitar I have gotten the best results with
Jazz basses are great, but P basses have their uses (think Iron Maiden).
My post was a bit misleading. Of course I like jazzbasses but somehow it didn't work too good with that profile. Next recording session I'll see what this profile can do

Actually I might do some more bass rigs soon, normally I use a DI route into the CultureVulture, capture the clean+Driven stuff at the same time to blend at mixtime. - some really nice ballzy stuff to be had with the vulture, but that might make a nice set of profiles right there!.

Exactly my experience. Just turn on a 61 or 59 Bassman profile (TAF provided some of those) with not too much gain (in my opinion 25% should do the job). It will sound very distinguished and it will be heard in the mix clearly. What more do I want?

I'm a huge fan of your guitar profiles. A custom pack with a killer / famous bass amp and several mic variations with some compressor and fuzz pedals.
Or get a session bass player ( or famous dude - whatever as long as they have world class tone ) involved and profile his rig. That would be sweet and unique.
I get confused with the Bassman - a lot of guitar players seem to use it too.
The old Fender tweed, blackface, and some silverface Bassman amps were also great sounding guitar amps. That's why you see the amp used for both instruments.
Haven't tried any bass profiles yet. Been using the Studio Devil Bass Pro plug-in in Logic. Might have to try some profiles.
