Dear all,
together with a great Italian amp builder I'm elaborating the possibility to have a small retrofit poweramp designed and built for the Profiler.
The specs:
- monolithic power section (just one National IC);
- 60 W / 4 ohm, 38 W / 8 ohm;
- 100 W transformer;
- two overheating protections, one short-circuit protection;
- stand-by button.
I'm sure I'll have plenty of SPL with my 2x12" (102 db/1 W per cone).
If we come to a final working unit I'd like to share the results with you of course!
I guess the most important aspect of it would be the undistorted SPL. I'm starting thinking of a way to make you guys appreciate it, but I've had no clear idea yet.
Any suggestions? Maybe me talking on a mic and playing and gradually raising the amp's volume?
