Yes, the combo funcitons are not ready yet and therefore greyed out.

The Effect Button I-IIII assignments, which are virtually available at the Player and can be triggered via built-in buttons or MIDI, are also not complete yet. The Player applies these if Rigs from other models get imported, but you cannot freely assign these yet. It takes an assignment function in the Editor to for example assign Freeze of the REV module to Effect Button II. So far you can only assign FX 1 and/or FX 2 to an Effect Button at the Player hardware. Example: You have used the Editor to assign module A to FX 1 and module DLY to FX 2 and stored this in your Rig. If your foot switch 2 is still configured as Effect Button I (default), you could now press the button of FX 1 and foot switch 2 simultanously and that foot switch will toggle module A on/off in that Rig. You could add FX 2 by holding its button and foot switch 2 simultaneously. Now foot switch 2 will toggle module A and DLY either in sync or inversely depending on their current state - like an Effect Button at a Remote/Stage would do. But this is not the full capacity of the EFfect Buttons,. which is planned for the new future.

Transpose and morph are features I really need

I could live with the lack of all fx blocks ... I get it as addition to excisting boards, but pure standalone small version it's lmited

Oh and I don't like power adaptors, normal IEC 220/110 V plugs is so nice

    Raf

The Player includes Transpose in its Rig Settings like the other models.

The three built-in foot switches normally and by default switch as soon as these get pushed.

We are preparing so called "combo" functions for another software version soon. That means, that additional switching functions can be assigned to the two combinations of foot switches 1+2 and 2+3. So overall you could optionally assign four or five switching functions to three physical foot switches. As soon as you do that, the logical consequence is, that the combo function will respond as soon as you push the second of the two switches. However, the underlying single functions will not respond before you release that foot switch, since the software cannot know, if you intend to use a single or a combo function before one of these two possible events. But again, this will be optional and only apply to single functions of switches which also are part of a combo function. Your choice!

Let's focus on how to turn effect modules on/off via foot buttons at the Player.

The Player maintains the concept of the four Effect Buttons I-IIII, that you might be familiar with from Remote and Stage.

While Remote and Stage have four physical buttons, the Player maintains these virtually and you can trigger these Effect Buttons

    a. via built-in foot switches assigned to this function,

    b. via MIDI CC# 75-78.

By default the Player's middle foot switch is assigned to Effect Button I. So when you import a Rig from another PROFILER model, this foot switch will already perform the same tasks as the physical Effect Button I of a Remote or Stage: It could switch on/off one of the four effect modules, it could toggle up to four modules, or it could trigger an Action&Freeze comand like Rotary Speaker Speed. And like with any physical Effect Button its assigned function can vary by Rig!

If one Effect Button is not sufficient for you, you could assign a second one which limits your options to navigate through the Rigs.

You can program the Effect Buttons at the Player in a similar way as with Remote and Stage: Press and hold the foot switch with the Effect Button function and press for example the button of FX 1. Now the effect module assigned to FX 1 is also assigned to that foot switch. You could add an assignment of FX 2, so that the foot switch toggels both. Don't forget to store the Rig!

The assignments of FX 1 and FX 2, which are the basis for these Effect Button assignments, are managed via Rig Manager.

In addition you could attach an external single or dual foot switch like the KEMPER 2-way to switch effect modules e.g. modules A and DLY globally. Or you assign Bank and Rig navigation to the external foot switch and reserve the built in foot switches for Effect Button I, II, and III.

There are a few more options....

Did you find any solution? Kemper support didn't really have a solution either when I logged a ticket.

KEMPER support has offered to you a repair of your defective front panel. These issues could be related. If the PROFILER fails, it might not be able to manage the Remote appropriately.

Remotes are very stable except either the Remote, the cable or the PROFILER is broken or a third party cable is used, that doesn't really meet the documented specifications. Hardware defects are statistically rare but can happen.

If you switch Slots in Performance Mode via foot buttons after assigning Effect Buttons and before storing the Performance with these new assignments it is possible that the assignments get withdrawn. This depends on the scenario: foot button intervention and no Rig Manager connected.

So either store the Performance each time before changing Slots within Performance. Or strictly stick to navigating Slots within Performance via front panel controls.

Unfortunately, we cannot publish any software updates without one or two users broadcasting a complete change of all their tones. Since we publish updates on a regular base, there is a high probability that hardware issues of PROFILER or connected gear or unintended changes of settings happen after upgrades coincidentally. In the vast majority of cases there is no causal relationship with the software update. You can assume that a very significant number of clients is adopting new release software within hours. If an update would change all user sounds we all would erxperience a perfect storm.

Thanks for your reply! The output sources were the same with the stage and head, so I don't think that was the issue. I set the pedal assignments correctly, and I saw that my expression pedals were working correctly. The issue was that none of my effects (delays, reverbs, etc.) were transferred, nor were amp or cabinet settings. All of the stomp settings were blank with every performance.

Be aware that the MONITOR OUT maintains two seperate selections of Output Sources, one for mono, the other for stereo. At the Stage you only see the stereo selections since its MONITOR OUT is stereo by definition. At other models e.g. Head you see the mono selection by default. The stereo selection takes affect as soon as you activate Monitor Stereo. This takes some attention.

Since the PEDAL assignments are not migrated between Stage and other models, the fact, that your expression pedals immediately worked as expected, was pure luck.

Your terminology regarding "none of my effects were transferred" and "nor were amp or cabinet settings" is unclear. If Rigs are too new for an older OS version, these are either completely ignored at startup (these are still in memory, but don't appear in browse pool) or effects could appear as other effect types. Both are temporary issues until you upgrade the OS. If the OS is current, the Rigs will reappear in browse pool and with the correct effect types.

But if you think, your settings like for example amp settings were different e.g. Bass was higher than expected, I doubt you created a backup and restored correctly. There is no scenario where a mismatch of OS versions causes individual settings to accidentally jump.

Backups can be exchanged between Stage and other PROFILER models in both directions. There are two items to look after:

    1. Monitor Output is stereo by design at the Stage while it is normally mono (only optionally stereo) at Head/Rack. Check what is your intend, different Output Sources take affect for mono and stereo.

    2. The PEDAL assignments are different. The Head has 2 sockets plus at a Remote. The Stage has 4 built in. These are not migrated automatically. You need to set these manually.

Problem is still here in the latest release. Also, now Browse mode is skipping large blocks of profiles going up and down. I created a separate thread and ticket for that. Haven't spent a lot of time in performance mode, since I was just messing with Liquid profiles, but hopefully the new OS hasn't introduced more performance mode issues as well.

This Browser Mode issue turned out to be a misunderstanding in your other thread.

The Up/Down Buttons of the Rig Navigation Cross initiate bigger jumps depending on the selected sorting criteria. If for example "By Author" is selected, Up jump to the next author skipping all other Rigs of the current Rig's author.

And Up and Down Buttons of the Remote jump complete banks. So Up jump five Rigs forward.

This is usual and intended functionality since day 1.

Not sure, what you are exactly meaning with "moving up or down". This is what the Main Manual says regarding Rig Navigation Cross:

Use this to navigate through the Rigs. Left and right buttons will switch sequentially, while the up and down buttons will change in larger steps. A newly selected Rig is instantly recalled.

So if you for example sort by date, your Rig loaded has creation date June 4th, 2020, and you press the up button of the Rig Navigation Cross, it will skip other Rig created on that date and for example load a Rig created on June 5th, 2020 - the next higher creation date.. If you sort by author, the up button skips Rigs of the same author and jumps to the next author. If you want to move Rig by Rig press the right or left button of the Rig Navigation Cross instead.

And this is, what the manual says regarding the Up/Down Buttons of the Remote:

    ....

In Browser Mode, you can step or scroll through Rigs in your browse pool according to the selected View and Sort Order criteria. The option “Group of 5/Single Rig” on page Remote Settings in System Settings determines, if the Up/Down Buttons step through the Rigs individually or by groups of five in Browser Mode.

    ....

By default the Bank Up botton moves five Rig forward and therefor skips 4 Rigs. That's the whole idea of a bank. You have got the Rig Buttons 1-5 of the Remote to navigate within the Bank/Performance.
